at NAS China Lake, CA.  Acquired by USAFM and delivered to Travis AFB, California in 1986.

65283 (9th BG, 99th BS) crashed on shore at Tinian Mar 30, 1945 due to mechanical failure while on mission to sow
mines in Shimonoseki Strait.  Plane had a mechanical failure and jettisoned its mines and headed back
to Tinian.  10 crew killed, 1 survived.  Aircraft was destroyed.
65286 (9th BG, 1st BS, "Dinah Might") was first B-29 to make emergency landing at Iwo
Jima Mar 4, 1945.  Refueled and repaired and flown out.  Landed
there again Apr 12, 1945.  Abandoned.  Returned to USA Apr 28, 1946
65287 (17th Bomber Training Wing, 246th AAF Base unit) ditched near Aquadilla, Puerto Rican May 31, 1945 due to
engine failure. 3 crewmen perished, 10 were rescued.  Crew was from 461st BS, 346th BG. MACR 16208.  The MACR
has the serial number being 42-55287, which was a cancelled A-24B.

Reported 12Mar46 at Kirtland Field, NM, as salvaged with Silverplate modifications removed.
65289 with 313rd BW, 504th BG  "Dina Might" during WW 2.  With 22nd BG, 2nd BS from March AFB
lost on ferry flight Nov 16, 1949.  Suffered engine failure and ditched 300/400 miles W of Bermuda with
20 onboard.  2 lost due to rough seas, 18 rescued after 2 days by HMCS Haida after being
spotted by ARS B-17.

65295 (498th BG, 873rd BS) left formation after fighter attack Apr 29, 1945 while on mission to Kyushu, Japan and
last seen crashing into the ground.  No chutes.  MACR 14309.  All 11 crew KIA.
65298 (9th BG, 99th BS) ditched from unknown cause in Pacific Ocean Mar 10, 1945 while on mission to Tokyo, Japan.
MACR 16145.  3 crew killed, 8 survived and were rescued.
