aircraft hit a wave and damaged left engine and prop flew off, injuring pilot.  US submarine Tigrone
SS-419 answered distress call and recovered both crews.  Tigrone sunk damaged PBY with gunfire.
Injured pilot died on sub and 3 of B-29 crew were lost in ditching.
