but aircraft was destroyed.
69942 (383rd BG, 880th BS0 in taxiing accident at Batista Field, Cuba Apr 19, 1945.  All crew survived.  Not known
if aircraft was repaired.
69943 (TB-29, 233rd AAFBU) crashed into high ground 8 mi S of Guadalupe Peak, Texas Jun 30, 1945
while on night navigation training mission during return leg from Davis Monthan AAF to
Mobile, AL.  All 12 aboard killed.

69951 (98th BW, 345th BS) damaged by gunfire from MiG-15 over bridge at Chongju, North Korea Mar 1, 1951.  Able to
land in South Korea, but aircraft was DBR.
69957 - as SB-29 at China Lake; nose now at U.S. Aviation Museum, Inyokern, California
69959 (93rd BS, 19th BG) lost from unknown cause at Guam Jun 10, 1945.  MACR 14616.  Fate of crew unknown.
69961 (505th BG, 484th BS) ditched after takeoff 2 mi W of North Field, Tinian May 19, 1945 due to flaps being raised too
soon.  MACR 14474.  7 crew killed, 4 survived and were rescued.
69963 (MSN 10795  "Big SCHMOO / WINNIE II" 444BG/58BW/678BS) was one of two B-29s used for post-war rocket 
assisted takeoff test program, designed to extend range by using less fuel on take-off.   
Program probably cancelled because of development of the B-47 /B-36 and  in-flight refueling advances.

69965 (462nd BG) shot down by Ki-45 Jun 5, 1945 over Kobe, Japan.  MACR 14605.  4 crew killed, 7 bailed out and
became POWs.  6 were executed, 1 died in captivity.
69966 (462nd BG) shot down by J2M3 May 14, 1945 near Nagoya, Japan and crashed in Iseno Bay.  MACR 14431.
4 crew killed, 7 bailed out and became POW.  5 were executed, 2 released in 1945.
69970 (504th BG, 398th BS, "Nip Finale") shot down by AAA and crashed at Yaehara Chiba, Japan May 29, 1945 while on
mission to Yokohama, Japan.  MACR 16100.  All 12 crew KIA
69972 retired to China Lake Mar 14, 1965.  *Doc* stored on range for many years 
at Naval Air Warfare Center, China Lake, CA.  Acquired by
National Museum of Naval Aviation Feb 1994 and registered
N6735C but did not leave China Lake until recovered Apr 15, 1998 and 
moved to United States Air Museum, Inoykern, CA 
for restoration.  Was located at Boeing plant in Wichita
KS for restoration back to flying condition as N69972.  Aircraft
moved out of Boeing plant Mar 2007 (they need the room) and
a hangar appeal has been launched.  Restoration virtually complete Sep 2015.
69973 w/o Aug 8, 1945 in crash 7 mi E of Milton, Florida.  One killed, rest of crew bailed out.
69977 (98th BW) attached by MiGs while hitting bridge at at Kogungong-dong,
Korea and crashlanded at K-1 Mar 1, 1951.
69978 (504th BG, 398th BS) lost from unknown cause in Pacific Ocean May 25, 1945 while on mission to Tokyo.  MACR 14503.
6 crew killed, 5 bailed out and became POW.
69979 damaged while parked at North Field, Tinian May 20, 1945 by crashing B-29 42-24913.

to Shimonoseki, Japan.  MACR 14693.  2 crew killed, 9 bailed out and were rescued.

crew survived but aircraft was destroyed.
