and converted to GNC-135A as maintenance trainer for student techicians.  When Chanute closed 
the aircraft was cut in half with the forward fuselage going to Wright Patterson Air Force 
Base as a Fire Training Aid. After reclaim of engines and other parts the remainder of the airframe 
was scrapped on site.

the pilots failed to turn the aircraft to avoid rising ground and
just flew straight into it.

to USAF Museum, Wright Patterson AFB, OH.  Named *Bird of Prey*.

5374 badly damaged over North Vietnam a nd crash landed at Da Nang AB, South Vietnam Nov 6, 1966.
5375 upgraded to Thunderstick II. Crashed Feb 9, 1974 with 457 TFTW after midair collision with F-105D 60-0513 and crashed
4.5mi W of Holliday, TX.  Pilot ejected safely.  The other F-105D landed safely. 
This aircraft was "Old Crow II" flown by World War II triple ace Colonel Clarence E. “Bud” Anderson 
during the Vietnam War.
5376 to Thunderstick II.  With 457 TFS, crashed Mar 8, 1977 after engine flameout 33 mi N of Beatty, Nevada.
Pilot ejected safely.
