US Army helicopter, but died later that day of injuries.
6348 (8th Special Operations Squadron 377th Air Base Wing) hit by ground fire May 1, 1972 while flying 
a close air support mission mear Kien Long South Vietnam.  Able to make it back to Bien Hoa Air Base. 
Pilot survived.  Aircraft was so badly damaged that it had to be scrapped.    
6349 (377th Air Base Wing, 8th SOS) crashed in Thailand Jun 18, 1972.   1 escaped.
